Sonoma Bakery

After breakfast at Kitchen by Mike, we happened to drive past Sonoma Bakery. Finding a car spot right out the front, we took it as a sign that we had to go in and purchase ourselves a loaf of some sort.

The cafe was full up, luckily for us, we had already eaten. Walking over to the counter, I'm faced with so many different beautiful, fresh loaves of delicious looking bread. Eyeing the Apple and Currant Loaf on the shelf, my sweet tooth decided to kick in, so that's what I purchased.

Unfortunately, they couldn't slice the loaf for me there. Not the end of the world, just meant I could go home and cut myself some nice thick slices to chuck under the grill.

It turned out perfect for the afternoon. We headed home, called the rest of the girls around for a fruit loaf and tea gossip session. What better way to spend an afternoon?

All the girls loved the loaf. It was packed full of apple and currants the whole way through. The bread itself, felt nice and light, which is a bit dangerous because we all found ourselves eating more slices than intended.

Definitely would purchase this again... Perfect for afternoon tea!
